Blogging

So, I'm not so good at this blogging thing, I got a little bored with it, couldn't think of anything to say, or MAYBE I was just EXHAUSTED from being preggers for the past month. I'm officially 9.5 weeks and ready to feel better and see straight at my desk again to get some work done. This isn't good, I've got one of my 3 biggest events on Jan. 7. I've got to GET IT TOGETHER! But otherwise, I'm excited to welcome an addition to the family in June! More to come on that I'm sure!

Heart

Borrowed from Bob Hostetler's Prayer Blog
Lord, "I will run in the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart" (Psalm 119:32, KJV).

Oh, enlarge my heart, please.
Increase my capacity for you.
Flood every spiritual valve and ventricle,
every corner and cubbyhole of my heart and spirit
with your gracious presence and sovereign control.
I need you, I want you, I will not let you go
until you bless me with more, more, more of yourself.

Let me be satisfied in you today, as with the richest of foods, in Jesus' name, amen.

My first show!

Tonight is my first Stella & Dot show, I'm so excited and a wee bit nervous. I went over to a friends last night and her mom and aunt were there, and we did a test run...thank God. There were so many kinks I needed to work out before tonight. I am so grateful! And then they made a very large purchase and I made my first commission!!! Hooray!
Here's a look at my first set up...it will prob. be a little diff...this is at my house, Banjo was looking at it from all angles.
It may not look like a massive show, but it takes time, people. I gotta work my way up. I LOVE wearing this stuff!! I get to wear it all the time. Today I'm wearing that massive stone on a long chain, which I call my Mr. T necklace, it's a huge statement piece.

Any who, wish me luck and Big Bucks!

October Garden Club

Mom is having my grandmothers garden club over tomorrow and I went over there tonight to show her my shipment of Stella & Dot jewelry (more on that later!) here are some pics of the unbelievable arrangements created for this luncheon.

How fun is this stuff? Is it my age that this kind of thing really excites me now?

Orange is ugly to me, but mustard on the other hand...I'm digging it...How cute would this outfit be?

Sales Consultant?

I'm contemplating becoming a Stella & Dot Stylist. I love the jewelry, have been to parties, am definitely hosting one in January, but I really think I could sell the stuff and get free jewels and mula! I got plenty of friends in all different groups around Birmingham that I could call on to have parties, and its something I actually like! Look at this gorgeousness...

The biggest thing is that its really pretty in person, pics don't even do it justice. I love it.

Is it hard? Is it for me? I have a full time job and am exhausted most of the time...?

Disappointment

It happens! Moving on!

Wake On Up From Your Slumber

I highly recommend Need to Breathe's new CD "The Reckoning"

It is fabulous and so meaningful. I'm constantly in a situation at work with other personalities all around me and for some reason or another someone is always angry about something so this verse from "The Slumber" below is such a good reminder.

"Tongues are violent, personal and focused,
tough to be with your steady mind,
hearts are stronger after broken.
Wake on up from your slumber, baby open up your eyes."

I also love the chorus, it is such a reminder that you can muddle through life living for the weekends, or try to live in the present appreciating every second and doing what you can every day to glorify God. It is so hard to balance it all, but we just keep trying!

Best Books

I love reading, and this is a great list of books to put on your list for beach trips and other rare free time...

My favs on the list:
, , , , ,

What I want to read:
,

Any other recommendations off that list or otherwise?

What I AM reading now unrelated to that list:

I highly recommend this book. Don Miller says it like he sees it (read: easy to get), he is very into God and devoted to him, but he's realistic and brings up fabulous points, he talks about love and finding a church, and hipocrits and just being good to people. He really breaks it down to what life and religion is all about, in a way that makes it sound really enticing. I'm tired, so i'm not doing it justice, but it is highly entertaining and just makes you THINK!

I'm reading this one next:
Here is his blog, he's just a super interesting person to follow...http://donmilleris.com/.

Have a great weekend!
